One of life’s little pleasure is to do things together as a family. So here we are, all four of us, relaxing with a facial mask.

Everyone starts off with cleansing our face, followed by a scrub. Kids uses Cetaphil and it doubles up as a scrub by gently rubbing the face in gentle circular motion. Mommy uses a scrub to get rid of dead skin cells. As for Daddy, a stronger scrub is required as men’s skin or dead skin cells are a lot thicker.

A little toner is patted on the face before the mask goes on.

Mommy tries to put on a facial mask once a week. Daddy does it whenever he thinks his complexion is getting worse. And this is the first time the kids have on a facial mask. Can probably let them do it once a month.

There are many different types of masks, e.g,
– hydrating mask
– whitening masks
– tightening masks
– deep cleaning masks
– nourishing masks

And masks are available in different forms e.g. Paper masks, Gel Masks, Cream Masks, Peel-Off Masks, etc, for the face, eyes, neck, hands, legs, etc.

As to what type of masks to use? It’s dependent on the condition of your skin. Daddy is using a hydrating mask, kids have on a whitening mask (they had been in the sun lots) and Mommy has on a hydrating mask too.

The are many different types of mask available in the market and the price range is large. The key to better skin and more effective masks is the cleansing, scrub and frequency of the mask treatment.

One important point is to take off your mask once the specified time is up. Keeping it on longer will only dehydrate your skin. Last but not least, do not forget to rub the remaining lotion into your skin (gently) and apply moisturizer so as to seal in the benefits.
